Picking Up The Pieces | Card

Hello! It is a cold, wet and windy day here in Wales, so we are brightening it up with an amazing card by Ericka Strange! Ericka’s card is so vibrant and the words from our ‘Don’t Judge’ stamp set are really inspiring for anyone going through a tough time…

I hope you are all having a good January so far.

I love this set from Visible Image, and the many ways to use it. Today I’m using the heart portion with the puzzle pieces.

To make my hearts, I started by using Distress Oxide sprays and photo paper. I love the bright colors that result in the spraying Distress Oxides and smooshing photo paper on the ink.

Once the ink is dry, I use a paper towel to wipe off the oxidized part and always love the results I get. I stamped the heart and puzzle pieces with Black Archival Ink and let it dry on the photo paper. Archival ink works the best since the photo paper in nonporous and won’t smear. I then fussy cut out the pieces and arranged them on white cardstock.

I used foam tape for my center heart in order to give my card more dimension and then I traced the hearts with black pen to help the lines stand out on the white card base.

I stamped the sentiment in Versafine ink and clear heat embossed it. to finish my card, I attached it to black cardstock.
