Imagination Has No Rules

Hello! We hope you are having a great weekend. Sharon Traynor is here on the blog today with a striking clean and simple card featuring our ‘Two Tone’ stencil…

Hello there. It’s time for a CAS card using another brilliant Visible Image stamp and stencil from the latest release.

This one has nice crisp lines and a geometric look, so it’d be really easy to change the colours to make this design suitable as a masculine card too.

two tone stencil - card

How to make this:

Mask off an asymmetrical diagonal band on the card with masking tape, place the stencil on the top and blend distress inks through it with make-up sponges, trying to keep each colour separate, but if they blend it still looks okay. You will need to move the stencil a couple of times to fill in the whole of the band, so be sure to clean it in between each placement. Remove the masking and use a ruler and a pencil to define the edges of the inked band.

Cut the panel twice with a stitched curvy border die. When the panels are attached to the card blank, raise the top and bottom one up on fun foam and attach the middle panel directly to the card blank. Make sure to leave a gap between each panel too. Add some random dots with nuvo drops and let the card dry.

Heat emboss the sentiment in white embossing powder onto black card, cut it into a banner shape and attach it to the card on fun foam.
