Hello there! Wow what another busy week it’s been here at Visible Image HQ! Our Wonderland character stamps have been flying out to stockists and customers all over the world which makes us so happy! We have lots more inspiration to share with you this weekend, so keep an eye out here on our blog and other social media platforms (links at the end of this post!). Lisa Taggart is here on the blog tonight with an incredible card featuring our Wonderland Caterpillar stamp…
I’ve been playing with the charming new release Alice in Wonderland stamps!
Today I used an acrylic pour background on an 8×8 canvas. I thought that the ‘ smokey patterns would suit the wonderful caterpillar stamps.
These are the Visible Image products I used..
The background is acrylic paint stencilled on top using white gesso and highlighted using a white gel pen
The background was enhanced by adding a foreground by using alcohol markers, water soluble pastels and a white gel pen.
The images were coloured using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers then cut out.
The sentiment was stamped and mounted along with the images using foam pads.
Glitter was added to the toad stool and to parts of the caterpillar. Glossy accents were added to the glasses.
Finally the canvas was edged using wax pastel and mounted on to complimentary card.
The acrylic pour was done a few days before using the dirty pour technique. I will be explaining how this was done in a series of videos for different projects for ‘Mixed Up’ magazine next month. So watch this space.
‘Colouring in’ is so much fun, and Alice in Wonderland is a classic.. and besides who can resist a toadstool !!
Till next time,
Wow what an incredible canvas Lisa! Your background is just perfect for the caterpillar ♡
