Queen of Rainbow Hearts

Hi there! We have some fabulous Wonderland inspiration for you today from Sharon Traynor who is featuring our ‘Dark Hearts’ stencil with our super sassy Queen of Hearts stamps…

Hello there.  I hope you are all well. I’m having a bit of a holiday at the moment as I have my two girls, son-in-law, 3 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren staying with me. It’s lovely to have them all here and I adore being able to spend some quality time with them all in the sun, although I admit that I’ll be a little exhausted when they go back home and will miss them so much. But for now it is beach, swimming, water parks and zoomarine fun all the way.

So today’s card is a quickie to make. I thought I’d reverse the focus of the colours on this card so that the image is classic gold embossing on white card, and the background is a riot of rainbow colour. And I also wanted to show that these Wonderland stamps look fabulous even without colouring them. So you do not have to be a really good colourist to make a card with these brilliant images.

Of course I’m using the fantastic stencil from Visible Image called Dark Hearts and teaming it with the wonderful Queen of Hearts.

I used several colours of dye inks blended to make a rainbow background, then I added the stencil and inked through it with black ink. The stencil lines up perfectly so that you can extend it to make a rectangular background as I have done here. Then I simply heat embossed the sentiment, heart and queen of hearts image, and I popped them up on foam pads.
