Stay Beautiful

Hello! Happy Weekend to you! We have 3 doses of awesome inspiration coming your way here on the blog today! First up is Heather Mitchell with a fabulous card featuring our strobes stencil…

Hello, hello, hello…

Feels like I’ve been away a while as I was so ridiculously busy and then it all came to stop after I managed to damage my neck/shoulder in some way.  It’s so irritating (and painful) and I’m just bored of it all now!!

Anyway, a bit of gentle crafting never hurt anyone and it’s a superb way for everyone to relax so that’s what I’ve been doing.  Unfortunately with all this spare time, I’ve been watching a lot of You Tube tutorials and my product wish list has tripled in size! Haha!

Enough of my chatting… today’s make is pretty simple.  Just a stencil and stamps and it was super quick to make.

I’ve used the Strobes stencil on watercolour card to create the main focal point, mixing modelling paste with acrylic paint to make a calming grey colour.  Having left it to air dry overnight, I then heat embossed the largest stamp from Rays of Light set in gold onto vellum. This vellum was one I found recently and already has a gold print on it but I love the pattern created… almost like a mini How Fragile image!

The simply stamped sentiment comes courtesy of Into the Woods and Life is Beautiful and has been attached using foam dots.

I was going to heat emboss the ‘Sparkle’ sentiment on it’s own but felt the card needed some texture so added Infusion powder in Raspberry for a splash of colour.

To finish, I’ve matted the watercolour card onto raspberry and black card before giving the inside of the card a bit of interest by adding  strip of colour along the side.

A really simple card but I love it!

The Visible Image products used on this card are…

Strobes

Rays of Light

Life is Beautiful

Into The Woods
