Time To Make Some Changes

Hello there! We have lots of inspiration to share with you over the next few days.. so many amazing things have been created!

It’s been such a busy week here, preparing for next week’s Create and Craft TV show, so apologies for not blogging for a few days.

It’s Helen here today sharing a project I created with some of our NEW stamps! I had so much fun making this and cannot wait to have some more free time to get inky!

I decided to use one of our brilliant MDF Monoliths, so started by cutting a piece of card to size, then created my background using brushos

I selected similar colour distress inks and began building up my background, randomly stamping the brilliant numbers stamp from the ‘Somewhere in Time’ set

Using some of my left over brusho background, I stamped some of the words from the same set and matted onto black card

Before stamping and embossing the awesome ‘inky bowler hat man’ from the ‘Ahead of our Time’ set, I added some stamped cogs for extra detail

The birds were designed to perfectly fly out of his hat so I just had to add them too!

I had painted the sides and base of my monolith with orange dylusions paint, and once dry I stuck my card down, ensuring the tabs were kept clear

I adhered the words using foam pads for dimension, and splattered some black paint to finish it off

I also added a few last splashes of brushos to the base to give it an aged look to tie in with my project

I am really pleased with how it turned out…

Hope you like it too!

Helen xx
