Mixed Media Tag – Visible Image stamps

Hello šŸ™‚ Thank you for visiting our blog today.

Susanne Rose is here to inspire you this evening with an amazing mixed media tag…

Hi everyone! It’s my day to inspire you with some of the awesome and so unique Visible Image Stamps. I did a mixed media tag and used one of my favourite Images: TheĀ Cheshire Cat:

Visible Image stamps - Wonderland Cheshire Cat - Susanne Rose

The background is a gelli print. I had a failed one and tried to rescue it. I am very happy with the result. Here are some step by step instructions on how you can turn a mud gelli print into a great background:

That was my background and I didn’t like it, so I used a bit of gesso at first:

I added some oranges with my Neocolor II watercolor pastels and the Portfolio watersoluble oil pastels:

Now I removed the color through a stenicl (this one isĀ BubblesĀ from ARTplorations) with a wet baby wipe:

Now I used my homemade tag stencil to cut out the tag:

After cutting it out I stamped some interest with the script stamp from the Visible ImageĀ RevolutionĀ Set using Archival Jet Black Ink.

Before I stamped the lovely cat, I painted some gesso to lighten up my background:

TheĀ Cheshire CatĀ is colored with Neocolor II. I added some interest with a white and black UNIPosca Marker.Ā
