Brrr It's Frosty

Nicola made her fabulous Christmas card with our SNOWMAN JACK stamp set and FROSTY stencil. [Tutorial] I first made the background using my gel printing plate. I lightly brayered some silver acrylic paint over it, added my stencil on top then covered with copier paper and smoothed over to remove paint from the negative areas. I then removed the stencil and took a print from the gel plate using smooth white card. This was then left to dry completely before being trimmed down to around 14x14cm. While the background was drying I stamped the snowman and penguin in black versafine clair and clear heat embossed. These were both coloured using various shades of zig clean colour brush pens and fussy cut. I also stamped my chosen sentiment in versamark and embossed in white. I then decided on the placement of the snowman, penguin and sentiment before background stamping the “wavy swirl” several times in versamark and embossing using embossing glaze. I also stamped a few of the snowflakes in a similar colour tone to the snowman’s scarf and edged the card using versafine clair in twilight. Thinking that the sentiment needed a little something, I edged it with cosmic shimmer fluffy stuff, which when gently heated puffs up and gives a snowy texture. Using a 15x15cm card blank I assembled the card with help from my trusty mat & layer guides and the snowman, penguin and sentiment attached using foam pads for height. Finishing touches were a little glitter on snowman’s hat, wink of stella on the bodies of the penguin and snowman and a couple of silver sequins for extra sparkle. Nicola ♡
